ICA was established in 1956 according to the republican decision number (394) as one of those administrations work under supervision of the ministry of foreign trade and industry
In 1977 ICA was charged to issue licenses for the establishment and management of thermal machines and steam boilers under the provisions of Law No. 55 of 1977
In 1988 was the establishment of the branch of New Damietta city
• In 1989 was the establishment of the branch of New Borg El Arab
• In 1989 was the establishment of the branch of Tenth of Ramadan and Sixth of October
• In 1994 was the establishment of the general administration of the machines in Shubra
•In 1995 was the establishment of the administration of the machines Mansoura
• In 1998 was the establishment of the administration of the machines Zagazig and Qena
• In 1999 was the establishment of the branch of Minya
• In 2000 was the establishment of the administration of the machines Sohag
• In 2001 was the establishment of the branch of Shebin
• In 2003 received the land of the industrial zone to establish an integrated branch of ICA in Minya
• In 2004, ICA was transferred to a new building (Ramsis ext.St.-NasrCity).Currently, ICA transfer all its branches, whether the thermal machines and steam boilers or new cities to become integrated branches in order to facilitate the consumers and investors
The Industrial Control Authority is one of the service bodies affiliated to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, that is targeted at Egyptian industry's welfare and development concerning its progression to world quality standards, taking it to high standards that qualify it to hold up to the vicious competition at the different world markets in perspective to the global economic changes.
The Authority as well protects the Egyptian consumer rights to have, use, and consume industrial products of high quality that are valid according to health and technical specifications.
The Authority provides its different experiences and studies to all national organizations and bodies upon request, bringing about the state's general policy in all execution stages of the nation's bodies.
