Belgrade- July 20, 2022
Minister of Trade and Industry
Nevine Gamea has taken part in the Serbia-Egypt Business Forum, held in the Serbian
capital Belgrade and inaugurated by the presidents of the two countries.
“Egypt has made headway in developing
its local industry and boosting its export levels, within an
investment-conducive environment and under a serious political leadership,” Gamea
said in her keynote speech.
The business forum, she noted, is a
real opportunity to bolster economic cooperation and lay foundation for a
constructive partnership between Egypt and Serbia, pointing to a potential
bilateral trade agreement that is currently being studied for this end.
The minister further added that there
is ample opportunity for Serbian companies to increase their exports to Egypt and
its FTA markets in the areas of technology, machinery and production
requirements, through joint manufacturing for export.
