The meetings have discussed
boosting Egypt’s trade and industry with Saudi Arabia and Djibouti.

Gamea has met with Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid al-Qasabi and Djiboubi’s
Minister of Trade and Tourism Mohamed Warsama Dirieh, on the margins of the WTO
12th Ministerial Conference (MC12), in Geneva, Switzerland.
Gamea and Qasabi discussed boosting
bilateral trade between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, especially with Egyptian
exports to its second top export market amounting to $1.994 billion in 2021 and
Egypt ranking seventh receiving a total sum of Saudi exports worth $2.478
billion.
They also agreed on holding an
expanded business forum in Cairo to explore the investment opportunities
available and potential joint partnerships in Egypt’s domestic market.
The meeting with Dirieh also
focused on expanding economic cooperation between Egypt and Djibouti, as well
as at the regional level in the Horn of Africa and Red Sea.
The two ministers said a delegation of importers from Djibouti will
visit Egypt and hold a series of meetings with the local export councils to
discuss further cooperation mainly in the field of food and agricultural
industries.
