The minister has inaugurated four SME factories of 24 being
operated in Aswan’s al-Alaki industrial zone.

Ahmed Samir and Aswan Governor Ashraf Attia have inaugurated four small- and
medium-sized factories of 24 being operated in the al-Alaki industrial zone in
the governorate, as part of the phased inauguration of some 34 plants worth EGP
150 million.
The minister also visited other
industrial facilities producing chemicals, granite and marble.
“Aswan has all the potential to
become a major manufacturing hub for various industries, especially mining,
with its abundant raw materials and technical workforce,” Samir said during the
tour.
He added that the ministry has recently
issued tenders for a new SME industrial zone in Aswan, in addition to two
complexes put out to tender in Assiut and Qena, bringing the total to 10
industrial estates established in Upper Egypt.
