Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed
Samir has received a delegation from the Association of German Chambers of
Industry and Commerce (DIHT), led by Chief Executive Martin Wansleben, where
they discussed boosting joint industrial and investment cooperation between
Egypt and Germany.
The meeting explored potential
opportunities for joint ventures in the field of renewable energy, mainly in
wind, solar and hydrogen projects, to cater to local and export markets.
“The government is keen on creating
a business-friendly environment in Egypt to lure more FDIs especially German
capital,” Samir said, pointing to Germany’s heavy investments in the domestic
market, such as Siemens.
