Nevine Gamea has participated in the 7th annual Amwal Al Ghad Awards
Ceremony, held in Cairo under the auspices of Egypt’s Premier Mostafa Madbuoly.
Entitled “The New Republic – A
Story of Success and Determination”, the Awards Ceremony recognized the top 100
performing companies listed on the Egyptian stock market and 50 most influential
women for their key role in the success of economic development efforts.
“The comprehensive economic reform
program adopted by the government has significantly increased the resilience of
the Egyptian economy, enabling it to achieve balanced and sustainable growth,”
Gamea said in a speech delivered on behalf of the prime minister.
These recent measures, she added,
have contributed to the creation of a better investment climate, hence, stimulating
the business activity and boosting the country’s GDP by 9% in the first half of
the current fiscal year, which ends in June.
The event was attended by ministers
of planning, immigration and social solidarity, as well as Maya Morsi, head of
the National Council for Women, and Yahya Zaki, president of the General
Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
