On behalf of Egypt’s premier, Minister
of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has taken part in the celebrations marking
the 59th Independence Day of Kenya, held at the Kenyan embassy in
Cairo.
Samir conveyed Prime Minister
Mosatfa Madbouly’s regards to the Kenyan people and community in Egypt.
“Egypt and Kenya enjoy longstanding
political ties. There is a strong economic momentum, nowadays, between the two
countries both on bilateral and multilateral levels,” Samir said.
Egypt, he added, seeks to tap the
full potential of both markets in trade and investment, especially as COMESA
member states and under AfCFTA.
