On behalf of Egypt’s premier, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has taken part in the celebrations marking the 59th Independence Day of Kenya, held at the Kenyan embassy in Cairo.

Samir conveyed Prime Minister Mosatfa Madbouly’s regards to the Kenyan people and community in Egypt.

“Egypt and Kenya enjoy longstanding political ties. There is a strong economic momentum, nowadays, between the two countries both on bilateral and multilateral levels,” Samir said.

Egypt, he added, seeks to tap the full potential of both markets in trade and investment, especially as COMESA member states and under AfCFTA.
