exchange, industrial integration and trade boost between the two countries.

During his brief visit to Saudi
capital Riyadh, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has held cooperation
talks with senior Saudi officials, including: ministers of industry and commerce,
as well as heads of the Saudi Exim Bank, the Foreign Trade and Export
Development authorities.
The meetings discussed know-how
exchange in industrial land allocation, industrial integration between the two
countries, in addition to boosting bilateral trade which hit $4.572 billion in
2021, up 41.3% from a year earlier.
Samir stressed keenness on fostering
communication between the two business communities and enhancing the access of both
markets’ goods into Africa.
According to figures, Saudi Arabia
ranks second among the major investors in the local market, with investments
worth $6.12 billion in some 6,017 projects spanning the fields of manufacturing,
construction, tourism, agriculture, services, financing, communication and IT.
