Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir and Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali al-Moselhy have inaugurated the second edition of NEBU Expo for Gold and Jewelry, held on December 10-12 at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center, New Cairo.
Organized by the Assay and Weights Administration together with the General Division for Gold and Jewelry at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, the three-day event brings together 150 exhibiting brands and 7,500 trade visitors.
"The expo is a good opportunity to explore the latest local and international designs and technologies in the business," Samir said during the opening ceremony.
Egypt's gold industry, he added, enjoys numerous competitive advantages that qualify the country to be a major production and export hub in Africa and the Arab world.
For his part, Moselhy pointed out that the exhibition comes within President Sisi's directions to further develop the gold and jewelry industry and boost its exports.
